I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at the Northeast Trekcon! I grew up watching StarTrek so being in an environment meant for other fans like me was amazing! There is just something about being around fans of a show that has been around as long as StarTrek is kinda like being with family in some aspects, even with the wide varieties of shows and movies in the StarTrek universe there is always something that all the fans can talk about! I got to host the cosplay contest with another Strakfan, the spectacular Lady Bridget Cosplay and her beautiful partner in crime, Lessa! Sadly I do not have a Startrek cosplay so as a joke I decided to wear Starwars shirts all weekend. There were some small hiccups at the con seeing as this was their first time doing a cosplay contest but I’m excited to see what they do next year!
We met some awesome cosplayers and fellow nerds and I had the pleasure of meeting Garret Wang who played Ensign Harry Kim from Star Trek Voyager! It was amazing! Sadly I didn’t get any pictures with him because we were both so busy but it was still great to meet him! (Voyager is a personal favorite of mine so meeting him was actually amazing!) With all that being said enjoy this small photo dump from the weekend!
